MassCEC solar requests for information and proposals
This week, MassCEC issued a Request for Information and two Requests for Proposals. Details and more information below.
Request for Information
In Massachusetts and beyond, site issues can prevent the installation of solar photovoltaic (PV) projects. The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC) and the Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources (DOER) are working to explore opportunities for reducing barriers and challenges to solar PV installations through the Community Shared Solar (CSS) concept.
To assist in this process, MassCEC is requesting feedback from solar stakeholders regarding general topics and questions related to community shared solar, as well as specific questions related to moderate or low-income customers.
MassCEC welcomes comments from any solar stakeholder located in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts or outside of the state. For more information, or to respond to this RFI, please visit our Request for Information page and fill out the attached questionnaire.
Please submit responses to cs@masscec.com by June 11, 2015 at 4:00 p.m with "Community Shared Solar - Request for Information Response" in the email subject line. Upon receiving and reviewing the responses to this RFI, MassCEC may follow up to obtain additional feedback.
Requests for Proposals
MassCEC is seeking proposals from eligible firms as part of two separate requests for proposals:
- Solar Technical Services: Seeking proposals from eligible firms with significant expertise in installation and/or inspection of residential solar photovoltaic systems in Massachusetts to provide consulting services as part of the Mass Solar Loan Program.
- Income Verification Services: Seeking proposals from eligible firms that can conduct income verification services for Massachusetts residents and property owners interested in owning a residential solar electric project, in order to qualify their eligibility for the moderate income loan support (MILS) mechanism.
The deadline to submit proposals for either of the RFPs is June 15, 2015. Questions should be emailed to solarloan@masscec.com by June 4, 2015 with "RFP for Solar Technical Services" or "RFP for Income Verification Services" in the subject line.
For more detailed information, including the full RFPs, associated documents and an estimated timetable of events, please visit the Solar Technical Services and Income Verification Services solicitation pages.
