Comments due- DOER SMART solar program

The Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources (DOER) is in the process of designing a new solar incentive program pursuant to Chapter 75 of the Acts of 2016 signed into law by Governor Baker on April 11, 2016.  Draft regulations on the new program, known as SMART, were released on June 5th.  Public comments on SMART are being accepted until July 11th at 5 PM. In addition, DOER is hosting 3 public hearings on SMART to give members of the public the opportunity to provide verbal testimony.

Written comments will be accepted beginning June 19, 2017 and ending at 5 pm on July 11, 2017. DOER requests that written comments be submitted as attached pdf files to emails addressed to DOER.SMART@state.ma.us, with the word SMART COMMENTS in the subject line. Alternatively, comments can be submitted via mail to Kaitlin Kelly at the Department of Energy Resources, 100 Cambridge Street, Suite 1020, Boston, MA 02114.
